Transfer Fair Scheduled at Gateway for April 1
Edgewood, Ky. - The Kentucky Community and Technical College System will host a Transfer Fair at Gateway Community and Technical College Wednesday, April 1, at Gateway's Student Services Center at the Edgewood Campus from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be the first Transfer Fair conducted at Gateway.
Sponsored by the Kentucky Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers (KACRAO), the Transfer Fair offers GCTC students opportunities for first-hand information from representatives of four-year colleges and universities, who will be ready to show them:
- How to transfer academic credits from GCTC to a four-year institution;
- How and where to apply for financial aid;
- The majors offered at four-year Kentucky institutions and elsewhere, and;
- What campus life is like at many four-year institutions.
Colleges and universities attending the transfer fair will be: University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, Kentucky State University, Murray State University--Madisonville Regional Campus, Western Kentucky University, Eastern Kentucky University, Northern Kentucky University, Lindsey Wilson College, Campbellsville University, Indiana Wesleyan University, Thomas More College, Metropolitan College, and Mid-Continent University.
All students are invited to attend; the fair will be of particular interest to students seeking AA/AS transfer degrees and those who have not yet declared a major.
