KCTCS Hosts "Transfer Fairs" at 15 Colleges in April
VERSAILLES, Ky. (March 26, 2009) - The Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) will host Transfer Fairs at 15 of its colleges in April; the first at Gateway Community and Technical College (GCTC) on April 1, and the final at Paducah's West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC) on April 29.
The Transfer Fairs, sponsored by the Kentucky Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers (KACRAO), offer KCTCS students first-hand information from representatives of four-year colleges and universities about how to transfer to these institutions to pursue a baccalaureate degree. Representatives from these institutions will share:
- How academic credits transfer from a KCTCS college to a four-year institution;
- How and where to apply for financial aid;
- The majors offered at four-year Kentucky institutions and elsewhere; and
- What campus life is like at the four-year institutions.
Dates and times of Transfer Fairs across the state:
April 1 Gateway Community and Technical College, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
6 Hazard Community and Technical College , Jackson Campus, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Hazard Community and Technical College, Hazard Campus, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
7 Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College, Whitesburg Campus, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College, Cumberland Campus, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
8 Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College, Middlesboro Campus, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
9 Somerset Community College, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
13 Big Sandy Community and Technical College, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
14 Ashland Community and Technical College, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
15 Bluegrass Community and Technical College, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
16 Maysville Community and Technical College, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
