Area students watch surgical procedure via I-TV
Students at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College as well as students from public and private schools in the area recently watched live surgery being performed from the University of Kentucky A.B. Chandler Hospital via teleconferencing technology. UK's Area Health Education Center (AHEC) and Kentucky TeleCare (telemedicine program), in collaboration with regional AHEC offices, schools and community colleges, took part March 18 in the learning opportunity. Here, students at the SKCTC Harlan campus watched a hernia repair.
