HCC offering more mining classes

Henderson Community College will once again be offering coal mining classes.  The next 40 hour Underground Mining Training Course will be held on Saturdays and Sundays, March 14, 15, 21, 22, and 28 from 8am-4pm.  The cost is $180 and payment is due on March 9 at 4:00 pm.

The next 24 hour Surface Mining course will be held on February 24, 25, and 26 from 8am-4pm.  The cost is $150 and payment is due on February 23. 

HCC is also offering a 16 hour Recertification class on March 3 and 4 from 8am-4pm.  The cost is $130 and payment is due on March 2. 

All classes will be held at the Herron Technology Center next to Union County High School in Morganfield.  Please call Carrie Divine at 270-831-9711 for additional information or to register.

PLEASE NOTE:  In order to take mining training classes, you must have a high school diploma or a GED and be able to go to Madisonville on a weekday to take a drug test and written exam.
