Benefactors of the Year, 2005HOPKINSVILLE COMMUNITY COLLEGEBack to BenefactorsJohn N. and Elaine Hall, Owensboro Honored by Hopkinsville Community College John and Elaine Hall have been ardent supporters of Hopkinsville Community College since 1994. For several years, they have supported the College's Fine Arts and Humanities Enhancement Fund. Their love for fine arts and humanities recently led them to establish the John and Elaine Hall Fine Arts and Humanities Endowment. Mr. Hall, who retired in 2004, was a college employee for seven years as director of media services and creator of HCC-TV. He has been involved in various business activities for 30 years and in numerous volunteer organizations and boards. Mrs. Hall taught music for 25 years, played with the Paducah Symphony for ten years and manages the family charitable gift fund. The College is deeply grateful for their support. White Hydraulics, Inc., Hopkinsville Honored by Hopkinsville Community College White Hydraulics is a family-owned business which moved to Hopkinsville in 1982 from West Lafayette, Indiana. The company is engaged in the manufacture and sale of hydraulic motors, pumps and valves. The company sells domestically and internationally. White Hydraulics has donated equipment to the Regional Technology Center valued in excess of $70,000 in addition to a monetary gift of more than $100,000. The company utilizes Hopkinsville Community College to train its employees. Hollis White, Jr., one of the original founders and emeritus board chair, is still active in the business along with his sons, Jeff and Hollis III. Mr. White's son-in-law Richard Maddux is company president. |
