The Hobart Corporation, an operating unit of Illinois Tool Works (ITW), is a $9.3 billion manufacturer of highly engineered components and industrial systems, employs 52,000 in 43 countries and the world�s premier commercial food equipment and services provider. In 1997 Hobart opened its newest plant in Danville producing commercial dishwashers. Involved in many local initiatives such as the Danville Campus of Central Kentucky Technical College, Hobart believes that CKTC is a vital community asset and has donated over $50,000 of new equipment to the welding laboratory, named in its honor. |

OSRAM SYLVANIA, the North American division of OSRAM GmbH- is the world�s second largest lamp manufacturer and is part of the Siemens family of companies. Sylvania has provided lighting solutions in homes, businesses and institutions, automobiles, and a broad range of specialty applications since 1901. Sylvania�s Versailles Lamp plant was built in 1964 and is situated on 212 acres in Woodford County. Over the last 38 years, the site has grown to 460,000 sq. ft. A glass making plant was built adjacent to the facility and soon a 454,000 sq. ft. distribution center will be added to the property. Central Kentucky Technical College has worked with OSRAM SYLVANIA over twelve years to provide employee training. OSI�s gifts to the Anderson Campus of CKTC include digital and Cincinnati mills, lathes, surface grinders, a CNC machine, and an optical comparator for the manufacturing technology programs. |
